As money floods in for UK breast cancer and leukaemia research, 80 per cent of people with lung tumours are dying within a year of diagnosis. But, patients suffering from unfashionable cancers are being neglected by scientists in spite of record spending on cancer research, according to a new report by the National Cancer Research Institute.
